Studying the Bible is different from simply reading it. Studying unlocks the richness and deep insights the texts can provide. There are many different ways we can study the Bible. We might want to learn more about a person (Jesus or a particular disciple), a particular theology (redemption or eschatology) or a favorite word (love or forgiveness). We might want to study an entire book or a particular passage. To help you do that, there are a variety of Bible study books available.
Amazon.com has 198,409 Bible study books available for you to choose from. We recommend just one. It's very easy to read and full of wonderment and helpful instruction.
You can start today, on your own, to study the Bible. If you need any help, please contact our pastor. He'd be delighted (and thrilled) to help you get started.
You can purchase the above book for under $12 from Christian Book Distributors (just click on the above image). Conversely, the pastor has a few of the books in his office if you are interested in starting right away.
You can also download a .pdf copy of the book below. It's a little trickier to read but it's free. You can print it out and bind it in some way to help you navigate the pages of the book.
Inside the book are helpful worksheets to help make the text come alive. As the book explains, writing out your answers to the particular questions is essential to understand and remember the Bible texts. Our pastor has created the forms from the book for you to print out and use. Simply download the .zipped file and unzip it on your computer. Within the folder there are each of the 12 Bible study method forms.
