The church office hours are Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.  If you would like to speak with the pastor, stop by the church or make an appointment. Call, email, or Facebook him. He'd love to meet with you.

+ Join us on next Saturday for this exciting workshop: Saturday, October 19 from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM at our church. The cost is $20 and includes lunch and refreshments. To register, please follow this online link. https://bit.ly/2Yt64bX Later registration is $30. For this event, join other community-minded people from the Northern Valley area for an interactive skill-building workshop led by Randall Butler of the Institute for Sustainable Peace. The workshop will cover essential practices that make constructive conversations possible: by suspending judgment, listening, empathy, respecting, and voicing.

+  The White Elephant, our church's thrift store will be open on Friday and Saturday of this week, October 18 & 19 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Come and shop for Halloween and Christmas! Then, grab a pumpkin on your way outside. All proceeds from the White Elephant and our Pumpkin Sale support the mission and ministries of the church.

+  Please bring your non-perishable food donations to the Dumont Food Pantry with you to church. We will dedicate them during the worship service this coming Sunday, October 20.

+  Mark your calendars for our Wednesday night Potluck and Faith Study. We are meeting each week through the end of October at 6:30 PM. We meet to eat and then watch and discuss Rob Fuquay's 'Which Way, Lord?' This study explores our life's purpose by examining the life of the Apostle Paul. Fuquay will take us on a guided tour of the churches and places in Paul's life and will teach us how to find our place in this world. If you have ever wanted to better understand Paul's life, this study is for you! Go here for a great video introducing this interesting study.

+  Our annual Pumpkin Sale is underway. We need volunteers to staff our tables to sell the pumkins throughout the month of October. Look for the schedule in the Social Hall and pick a time slot to sell them. This is a great way to help the church while getting to know the neighbors in and around our town. Also, consider signing up with a friend to sell the pumpkins together.

+  We are continuing a 4-week sermon series for the month of October, appropriately named Haunted House. We are exploring the damaging effects of fear in our personal lives and in the life of the church. God promises new life and how to turn our fears over and let our life in Christ give us great courage. Please join us for this insightful understanding of what it means to be loved by God.

+  Our White Elephant Thrift Store will be open every Saturday during the month of October from 9:00 - 2:00 PM. If you have any items to donate, please contact Karen Minkler.

+ Our midweek Bible study meets Wednesday afternoons at 1:00 PM in the Social Hall. Each week, we meet for one hour to discuss and learn about the upcoming Sunday's Scripture lesson.

+ The Rainbow Cafe, our LGBTQ+ youth group, has been selected to be the recipients of a massive fundraiser here in New Jersey. We invite you to attend this gala event with plenty of food, refreshments, prizes, and an opportunity to support various community projects in North Jersey. Tickets are $35. Our pastor will be speaking for the Rainbow Cafe.

You are invited to join us for worship on Sunday, October 20 at 10:00 AM. Our Scripture lesson will be 2 Timothy 3:10-17. The title of the sermon is, "Haunted House: The Fear of Persecution." The lay leader for the service is Scott Foster.

You are invited to stay for Coffee Hour after our morning service immediately after the service. We have coffee and light refreshments which are a great chance to meet our members, mingle with old friends, talk with the Pastor, and make new friends.
