If you are interested in church membership, we wil be offering a Newcomers Class on Saturday, October 29 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Come learn about the history of the church, our faith and practice, and how we can do ministry together. To RSVP, please contact the church office, Pastor Bo, or Glenn Woertz, the Chairperson of the Board of Deacons.
Given the spate of hurricane disasters and the ongoing threat of earthquakes, war, and the like, we now have a way for you to contribute financially to these causes. To the left is a Disaster Relief tab that will help educate and provide you opportunities to contribute. Please give as you feel God leading you.

Our Midweek Dinner and DVD movie night continues this Wednesday, October 11 at 6:30 PM. Join us for dinner and the movie, The Case for Christ.
Sophie's Porch, our philosophy group will not be meeting this Thursday, October 19. It will resume its meeting on Thursday, October 26 at 7:00 PM. We meet at The Peddler in Cresskill.
Both our women and men's group have book studies going on. The men's group meets this Saturday, October 21 at 10:00 AM. All men are invited to attend. They are reading the book, Nine Essential Things I've Learned About Life, by Harold Kushner.
The womens book study is reading, The Echo of Twilight, by Judith Kinghorn on Tuesday, November 7 at 7:00 PM. For information about the womens book study, please contact Bonnie Slockett.
If you would like to help us start a new small group effort, please bring your idea to a member of our Board of Christian Education--Cindy, Bonnie, Judy, Christine, or Miriam.
Join us in October for our Dinner and a Movie on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM. We will meet to eat and watch a full-length movie and then discuss it afterwards. Each movie is faith-based and fit for the whole family. The dinners will be potluck; the first dinner will be provided by the Board of Christian Education. For the rest of the dinners, each week we'll review the menu for the following week.

Join us throughout the month of October for our sermon series, The Reformation. On October 31, 1517, 500 years ago, Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on the church doors at Wittenberg Castle Church that started the Protestant Reformation. During the series, we will be observing key elements and themes that shaped the Reformation including Luther's points of contention. We will also identify what it means to be a Protestant today. Join us for a thoughtful and insightful journey into our church's history and tradition.

You are invited to join us for worship on Sunday, October 22 at 10:00 AM. The sermon series is: the Protestant Reformation. This week's sermon is titled, The Priesthood of All Believers. The Scipture is 1 Peter 2:4-9.
You are invited to stay for Coffee Hour which happens immediately after the service. We have coffee and light refreshments which are a great chance to meet our members, mingle with old friends, talk with the Pastor, and make new friends.
