You are invited to join the Lay Advisory Committee this coming Sunday, March 14 for an after-church conversation about Membership Assimilation and the Pastor's doctoral project. Come and learn what we've learned so far and participate in our on-going conversation about what it takes to create an environment that attracts young families.
The following meetings and activities are happening this week:
Saturday, March 13 at 10:00 AM Artists Circle
Sunday, March 14 at 9:00 AM Choir Practice
Our parish secretary, Terrie Clark, will be out of the office next week. The pastor would LOVE some volunteers to help out in the office. If you can work any day, Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, that would be great. The pastor will need special help on Thursday as that day the following Sunday’s Order of Worship is printed and assembled. If you can volunteer, please contact the Pastor at bo@cresskillucc.org or speak with him on Sunday.
Just so you know, the Pastor will be out of the office much of Tuesday in meetings. If you need him, send him an email at bo@cresskillucc.org or call him on his cell phone at 201-679-9514.
Are you in debt? Would you like to get out of it? Would you like help in managing your finances or preparing for retirement? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we offer a 13-week debt management course called Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. The cost is $100 per family and includes books, workbooks, CDs with lessons, and the opportunity to meet weekly to watch a DVD session and group learning. If you are interested in attending, please contact the church office or locate the signup sheet after church. Once we have at least 5-6 families (we have a definite 3 and a possible 4th), we will schedule the course (which has normally met on Thursday nights from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM).
To submit a prayer request, please send an email to Pastor Bo at bo@cresskillucc.org. He'll then put the prayer request on the website. You will find the prayer requests from Sunday worship and submitted prayers by navigating to our Prayers tab to the left of your screen. Simply fill in who you would like for us to pray for.
This Coming Sunday
You are invited to join us for worship on Sunday, March 14, 2010. The Scripture lessons will be 2 Corinthians 5:15, Hebrews 2:14-16, and John 14:1-3. The title of the sermon will be, "The Fear of Life's Final Moments."
Following our morning service, you are invited to get acquainted and catch up with old friends during our time of refreshments.
