Monthly Newsletter, The Spirit Seeker: Summer Edition 2010CHURCH LIFE
We invite you to join us for worship every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM. As a reminder, the Church school for children and youth will not be meeting for the duration of the summer. Church school will return on Gathering Sunday in September.
The church office hours are Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The parish secretary will be in the office Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
The September issue of The Spirit Seeker is being assembled. If you have an article for our monthly newsletter, please submit it to Terrie as soon as you can. We will have the newsletter available by Sunday, September 12.
Gathering Sunday will be Sunday, September 19. On that day, we will host a special BBQ after church as we commemorate the return of Church School and our Choir. Mark your calendars and invite your friends to this wonderful celebration to kick-start our new church year!
Volunteers are needed for our turn at cooking and serving the men and women at the Hackensack Homeless shelter on Wednesday, September 8. If you would like to help cook or provide desserts or help serve, please call either Gordon Wallace or the church office.
As a reminder, we are continuing to collect canned and packaged goods for the Cresskill Food Bank, which benefits any Cresskill resident that is in need of assistance. Also, if you would like to donate your time staffing the food bank, please contact John and Dot Pontician.
To submit a prayer request, you may send an email to Pastor Bo at bo@cresskillucc.org. He'll then put the prayers on the website. You will find other prayers from Sunday worship and submitted prayers by navigating to our Prayers tab to the left of your screen. Simply fill in who and what you would like for us to pray for.
THIS COMING SUNDAY
You are invited to join us for worship and communion on Sunday, September 5, 2010. The Scripture lessons will be Jeremiah 18:1-11 and 2 Corinthians 4:7-10. The title of the sermon will be "Molded into a Sculpture of Christ."
Following our morning service, you are invited to get acquainted and catch up with new and old friends alike during our Coffee Hour.

Help us advertise and promote our congregation is by wearing keen logo items such as coffee mugs, t-shirts, and messenger bags. We have an account set up at Cafe Press that has several items for you to purchase, at cost, to share with your family and friends your love of our church. We invite you to go there and pick out an item and help us attract new visitors.
